This Privacy Policy describes how Weden handles information when you use the Wedding Planner iOS application. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Summary

Wedding Planner helps you plan a wedding budget, guest list, timeline, and related details. Most data stays on your device. If you purchase a premium subscription, your data may sync through Apple iCloud (CloudKit) tied to your Apple ID. The free version may show ads through Google AdMob. We do not operate our own user accounts or wedding-data servers.

Information you provide

You may enter information such as:

• Wedding date, budget, and currency settings
• Expense names, amounts, deposits, and categories
• Guest group names, guest counts, and gift estimates
• Timeline tasks and completion status
• Couple or project display names (Business tier)
• Drink-calculator preferences

This content is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad unless you enable iCloud sync with a paid plan. You control export and import of backup files (.weddingplan, CSV, PDF).

How we use information

We use your information only to provide App features, including:

• Calculating budgets, ROI estimates, and cash-envelope summaries
• Displaying home-screen widgets (countdown, budget status)
• Syncing across your devices when iCloud is enabled
• Processing in-app purchases and restoring entitlements
• Showing non-personalized or personalized ads on the free tier

We do not sell your wedding data to third parties.

Where data is stored

• On-device storage: Free users’ data is stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData framework.
• iCloud / CloudKit: Premium and Business subscribers may sync data to your private iCloud account. Apple processes this data under its own privacy policy.
• App Group container: A limited snapshot may be shared between the App and its widgets on the same device, for widget display.
• Backup files: Exports you create are files you choose to save or share. We do not receive them unless you send them to us (e.g., support email).

Third-party services

The App integrates services that may collect information independently:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — purchase history, subscription status, and fraud prevention. See Apple Privacy Policy.
• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — cloud sync for paid tiers. Data is stored in your iCloud account.
• Google AdMob (free tier) — may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data. See Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & data.

On iOS, if the App requests App Tracking Transparency permission, you may allow or deny cross-app tracking. Denying tracking does not remove ads on the free tier; ads may be less personalized.

Data we do not collect directly

We do not require registration with us and we do not maintain a central database of your weddings. We do not knowingly collect:

• Passwords (authentication is through Apple for purchases and iCloud)
• Precise location
• Contacts from your address book (unless you manually type guest information)
• Health or biometric data

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will assist with deletion where applicable.

Your choices and rights

• Delete data: Remove expenses, guests, or projects in the App, or delete the App from your device.
• iCloud data: Manage or delete iCloud data in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
• Ads: Upgrade to Premium or Business to remove ads, or limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Backups: You control exported files; delete copies you no longer need.
• Access / portability: Use in-app export (including CSV/PDF on paid tiers).

Depending on where you live (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Data retention & security

Data remains on your device and/or in your iCloud account until you delete it or remove the App. We do not retain copies on our servers because we do not host your wedding content. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.

We rely on Apple’s platform security (device encryption, iCloud security, App Store receipt validation). No method of storage is 100% secure; keep your device and Apple ID credentials protected.

International transfers & changes

If you use iCloud or AdMob, Apple and Google may process data in countries where they operate. Their respective policies govern those transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
